Privacy policy.
This policy explains what personal data Scholar SIA collects through this website and the project enquiry form, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. Last updated 25 August 2026.
The data controller.
Scholar SIA, trading as Scholar Baltic, is the controller of the personal data described here. We are based in Rīga, Latvia. You can reach us at support@scholarbaltic.com or +371 22131224 for any question about your data or this policy.
Data you give us.
When you complete the enquiry form, you choose what to share. Depending on your answers, that can include:
- Your first name, and your email address and phone number, so we can reply.
- Your company name, if the project is for a business.
- Project details: what you want built, its goal, how far along you are, who will use it, a rough budget range, how ready you are to start, and, where relevant, who signs off on the decision.
We also receive standard technical data when you browse, such as your device type, browser, and pages visited, through the analytics described below.
Purpose and legal basis.
We use the details from the enquiry form to respond to you, to understand your project, and to prepare a proposal if it is a fit. The legal basis is your consent when you submit the form, and our taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, under Article 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
Technical and analytics data is used to keep the site working and to understand how it is used, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving the site.
Services we rely on.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run this business, acting on our instructions:
- HubSpot stores enquiry submissions in our EU-based CRM.
- Cal.com handles call bookings, if you choose to book a call.
- Google (Tag Manager and Analytics) provides website analytics, which use cookies.
- Netlify hosts and serves this website.
Retention.
We keep enquiry data only for as long as we need it to handle your enquiry and any engagement that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it. If you would like your data removed sooner, contact us and we will act on it.
What you can ask for.
Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to a particular use. You can also ask to receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email support@scholarbaltic.com.
If you believe we have handled your data unfairly, you have the right to complain to the Latvian supervisory authority, Datu valsts inspekcija (dvi.gov.lv).
Updates to this policy.
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. For anything that is unclear, email support@scholarbaltic.com.
